Smiggle. Crazy. Me.

My daughter and nieces have been going gaga over this Smiggle craze lately. This has been in their Wishlist, then Birthday List and now Christmas Wishlist. I have no idea that this was more then just pencil cases until they showed me the website. They have books, bags, lunch boxes, writing and desktop accessories as well.  I was reluctant to get one because it is pricier than the usual pencil cases out there in the market. Until I recently spotted these at a Smiggle Pop-Up Store in Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong, Philippines, I was immediately smitten by these cute little "thingies" (I'm starting to sound like the girls). I finally understood why girls fall in love with Smiggles. Get this stocking stuffer as early as now.

Smiggle is an Australian-based retail store chain that sells stationery and related accessories. It was founded in Melbourne by Stephen Meurs and Peter Pausewang in 2003 and acquired by the Just Group in July 2007. As of October 2014, the chain has stores located across Australia (115 stores ), New Zealand (23 stores ), Singapore (17 stores ) and United Kingdom (12 stores).

Smiggle is renowned for its use of vibrant bold colours and quirky graphics on most of its branded products. It has been credited with filling a gap in the Australian stationery market for "fashion-forward, bold stationery". Products from Smiggle come in various bright colours which are generally targeted at children and other young demographics.

I secretly got a pencil case for my daughter this Christmas but it was discovered hidden in my closet before I had the time to wrap it. Buking si Mommy! Well I told her that she will have one less box to open this Christmas. Anyway she was so ecstatic and immediately thanked me with endless hugs and kisses. Who wouldn't pull you heartstrings that way. I obliged to her request that she can use it immediately. But only after I do some personalisation. You know me, an OC mommy.

This single zipper variant measures approximately 6" height x 8.5" width  x1.75" thickness
(though it may expand up to 2 inches or more when filled up).

The pencil case is very well crafted and holds a lot. Though Made in China, the quality is very good.
It holds numerous writing implements and crafting tools for school.

There goes the mark of an OC Mom. I used Leeho Puffy Paints available at National Bookstore.
It's easy to apply but you need to be precise in applying it because its permanent.

    1. Hahaha. That's funny. I actually got another one for myself so I'm just as guilty. It's where I organize colored markers, cutters, scissors, washi tapes and other stuff for crafting and gift wrapping so it's easy to store and find. :)
